Initial In-Home Consultation

Service Description

Initial consultations include extensive data collection. Through interview and discussion, assessment, oral examination, weighed feedings, observation, breast examination and medical history review of both mother and baby to understand the breastfeeding dyad's experiences, challenges and goals, a comprehensive, individualized and collaborative care plan will be developed and given to parents along with recommendations and referrals, if needed. Follow-up phone call included. This consult takes place in the client's own home with our IBCLC. The Lactation Consultant brings all necessary equipment to you, allowing you to remain in the comfort of your home. Additional $25 travel fee may apply for travel greater than 25 miles from our Cary office. Upon booking, you will receive an email with a link to the patient portal through MilkNotes, which includes all new patient materials and information about your appointment. Payment is due at time of service. If booking online, payment is due at time of booking in order to reserve your time slot. To avoid $25 cancellation fee, 24 hour prior notice is required for all cancellations. Insurance-coded receipt given at appointment to submit for insurance claim.
